45g Golden Syrup
40g margarine
50g caster sugar
100g self raising flour
¼ tsp bicarbonate soda
1 tsp ground ginger
Preheat oven 180/gas 5. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Mix together the golden syrup, margarine and sugar. When combined, add flour, bicarb and ginger. Mix together to form a ball.
Divide into 12 portions, roll portions into a ball. Place on the baking sheet and slightly flatten. They will spread out as they cook.
Bake for 15 mins until golden all over. Leave to cool before removing them from the tray.
