Mission Statement

‘We provide the highest quality of care and early years education possible for the children at Grass Roots, ensuring firm foundations upon which each child’s future can be built. We will ensure that all children develop a sense of belonging and security, cared for by staff who will listen and respond to them. We want to promote an environment which focuses on the development of the whole child, ensuring that when they start their next phase in life they do so with a positive self image, an enquiring mind, a real understanding of what is right and wrong and a confidence to excel in everything they do.’ Grass Roots Team
Welcome
We would like to welcome you and your child to Grass Roots Private Day Nursery. This is a very important time in your child’s life both educationally and socially. We will provide a happy, friendly, stimulating and positive environment where your child can reach their full potential.

We are a newly established family setting with a passion and drive for providing excellent childcare. We like curiosity led learning and development, where children have the freedom to explore and learn within a safe, secure and inviting environment. Our team are friendly, professional and passionate about the care and learning opportunities given to our children. We like to think outside the box whilst providing stimulating activities which are centred around each child's interests.

On this website we provide basic information about our nursery. Visits by parents are welcomed and encouraged and staff are happy to discuss any particular queries you might have, all we ask is for you to bring a form of photo ID with you. We appreciate your interest and feedback is always welcome.

We are registered with Ofsted and have an Outstanding Grading. We also work closely with Calderdale Early Years’ Service who provide advice and support allowing us to monitor our service enabling us to maintain a high quality setting.

Our nursery setting is open to every family in the community as we believe that no child, individual or family should be excluded from our setting on the grounds of age, gender, sexuality, class, family status, means, disability, colour, ethnic origin, culture, religion or belief.

Aims and Objectives for Children
Our overall aim is to create a warm, welcoming and homely environment in which children across the age ranges can feel comfortable and safe, allowing them to thrive and grow in confidence. Working in conjunction with parents, carers, families and other appropriate groups we will focus on the children’s personal, social and emotional development when planning our curriculum and activities.

Children attending the setting will be safe, cared for and stimulated in an efficient, well maintained and above all homely environment. We will promote a healthy understanding and respect for natural values in all aspects of the setting.
